Lake Kiowa Golf Pro ShopThe eighteen hole PGA rated championship golf course is one of the many attractions of the Lake Kiowa community, and provides a rewarding experience for all golfers.

The Lake Kiowa Golf Course features three sets of tees ranging from 6,605 yards at the championship tees; to 5,085 from the forward tees.  This PGA rated course is easy enough for beginners but presents a challenge for more experienced players as well. Built by Leon Howard in 1969, this private course has decades of history and experience and is open year round for even the most dedicated golfers.

If golf is your passion, then you must find out more about the course, the tournaments, and the in-house golf pro which is available to help at any time, and the pro shop is available for all your golfing needs. The course itself is equipped with USGA regulation greens, and a completely automatic sprinkler system using lake water. A full-time greens superintendent and grounds keeping crew maintain the course for your golfing pleasure, and tee times are listed on the Lake Kiowa website along with USGA rules, regs, handicap information and an on line handicap system for your convenience.

Speaking of convenience, our staff here at Lake Kiowa Premier Real Estate believes you need to find out more about the Lake Kiowa community special golf events. It is important at Lake Kiowa, that you know that association fees cover all ground fees, which means members can golf every day at no extra cost. Activities are abundant here, including the Men's and Women's Golf Associations. These associations invite membership for competing in tournaments and provide entertainment, as well as contribute toward beautifying the golf course.

Here are the basics for the course concerning local rules of play.  The Pro Shop, Disable golfers handicap flg policies, tee times, handicap committees, and golf lessons, clinics, and Lake Kiowa Score Card information can be found on the Lake Kiowa website.

Local Rules of Play

  • U.S.G.A. Rules shall govern all play except where modified by Local Rules.
  • Each player must register in Golf Shop before play.
  • Each player must have separate set of clubs and bag.
  • Carts must use 90 degree rule and stay on cart paths around Tees and Greens.
  • Out-of-Bounds is defined by round 30' tall white stakes.
  • All hard surfaced cart paths, pavers, yardage markers, flower beds and water control boxes shall be treated as immovable obstructions.
  • Railroad ties shall be treated as integral parts of the course.
  • Water hazards are marked with yellow stakes or lines and lateral water hazards are marked with red stakes or lines. You should play a provisional ball if you are uncertain of whether or not your ball is in a hazard.
  • Stones within the Bunkers are movable obstructions.
  • Line of play relief may be taken for fixed sprinklers on or within 2 club lengths of the green when ball lies within 2 club lengths of the sprinkler head.
  • Take free relief from all staked trees.
  • Please be familiar with all of Lake Kiowa Golf Course Rules.

The Pro Shop is the center for golfing activities at Lake Kiowa with the regulation of all play on the course. This includes tee time reservations, running tournaments, golf cart rentals, collection of guest fees and range token sales for the Property Owners Association, golf lessons and clinics for members or guests, and retail sales or special orders of golf equipment and clothing for any golfer’s needs. Special clearance sales of merchandise or availability of new equipment will be posted on this site.

On Thursday mornings Brown McCrory, our golf pro, conducts a team event for all men showing up before the cutoff time with a draw for A,B,C,D players - $5 entry.
